I’m going to help you have a great photoshoot

Best Wardrobe for Business Headshots

The clothes you wear are really important.

If you’re a lawyer you may want to wear a Suit & Tie of course.  A realtor may want to wear a business outfit that’s not as formal as a lawyer.  Some businesses are really casual and they may prefer to go with a more casual look.

Check out our Business Headshot Gallery page.

It's really best to wear the clothes that best represent the personality of your business and how you want to represent yourself.

There’s more to Branding than you think!

This is How you make Branding easy

You have to think about every little thing from your wardrobe, lighting, location and expression that fits your brand.

This will help:

Wardrobe we already covered. Lighting can be either Natural light or Studio light.  To me natural light looks more contemporary, softer and friendlier. Studio light comes across as more corporate. if you're a CEO and want to project a conservative image, studio lighting me be best for you.

The location is also important:

Should you shoot in the studio or do you want to shoot on location?

Shooting in your office is a great option for a Corporate headshot.

Your expression is also part of your branding.

Are you the happy go lucky friendly approachable person, or the more serious professional. We can go over all of this at your session and I can help you make the right decisions.

Should you smile?

Let's dive a little deeper into your expressions.

Of course we all know how to smile, and that's easy.  However, we want your smile to look natural and effortless.

One of the best ways to get a natural smile is too take lots and lots of photos.

Play with using different smiles, the big smile, the medium smile and the small smile.

Perhaps the you want a more serious expression.

If you feel this expression fits your business, and your branding, feel free to do it.  the most important thing is to take lots of photos, with lots of expressions, and then you can decide later which expression is right for your business.

How’s my makeup?

Should you hire a makeup & hair artist?

If you're a guy probably not. If you're a woman you may want to consider it.

It takes a lot of pressure off of you as you get ready.  However, it does take a long time to get your hair and makeup done, probably about an hour.

If you do decide to do your hair & makeup yourself, make sure it fits the image of your business. The main thing to keep in mind about your hair is always looks more messy in photos than it does in real life.

Be sure to have a brush and some hairspray ready to calm down those loose and wild hairs.

Grooming

Women here's a few things you might want to check.

Make sure your eyebrows are under control, you don't have any dark roots, and your hair has been cut recently.

Men make sure you have shaved unless a little stubble fits your business image.

Follow this tips and you are going to have some great business headshots.
